Malaysia stared at her phone screen, her finger hovering over the “decline” button. Andrei’s name lit up the screen. They had been at odds lately, more so on Malaysia's part. She sighed, then swiped to answer before she could talk herself out of it.

Malaysia: Hey. Andrei: Hey, baby, I just wanted to check in. Thought maybe you’d changed your mind. Malaysia: Didn’t change my mind.

Malaysia leaned forward, grabbing the wine glass from the coffee table.

Andrei: I know you told me not to come, but Malaysia… I just don’t like the idea of you being alone right now. I have one day off, and I want to be there for you.

She sighed, setting the glass down a little too hard.

Malaysia: You don’t get it, Andrei. I don’t need you trying to fix me. I’m grieving. And I don’t need you telling me how to do it. Andrei: I’m not trying to control how you grieve. I just worry about you. You’ve been drinking a lot more, and… putting yourself in situations that aren’t safe. I just want to make sure you’re okay.

Last week, Andrei found Malaysia dancing on top of the bar, which upset him. She thought it was just harmless fun, but he’d been worried about her drinking and partying for weeks. The bar incident pushed things over the edge.

Malaysia: I’m fine. You don’t have to babysit me. Andrei: It’s not babysitting. You know that’s not what this is. Lay, you’ve been shutting people out. Your friends, your family… me. Malaysia: I’m not shutting you out. I just…need space. Why is that so hard for you to understand?

Andrei hesitated.

Andrei: If you need space, I’ll give you space. But, let me come next week. You don’t have to go through this alone, Malaysia. You know I love you and Ben.

She caught her breath when her son was mentioned. It was the one thing that always cut through her anger and defenses.

Malaysia: Next week… maybe next week. Andrei: Okay, baby. I’ll be here when you’re ready.

Malaysia ended the call without saying goodbye. She sat there for a long time, staring at the glass in her hand. She wasn’t ready to see Andrei, but maybe next week she’d be in a better headspace.

Hey, friends! I found black representation lacking in the Sims 4, so I built an entire legacy challenge based on it! This challenge is my love letter to my community. And it is meant for anyone and everyone to play, but I want to showcase how rich, beautiful, and powerful we are. It follows a story that has a beginning, middle, and end to it. Every generation is based on a different soul food dish.

A private jet awaits their departure. Princess Amara and her staff have arrived. They are loading luggage to the jet. Bryson and his team arrived 30 mins late but it is their jet so are they really late or is everyone else just early?

Bryson and Amara locked eyes then they embraced for a kiss. Akeem was annoyed by their late arrival. No one makes the princess wait but Amara seemed to be very forgiving.

Sparkle and Bridgette layed eyes on each other. They spoke no words out loud but their eye contact said alot between the two.

Princess Amara turned to Akeem. She expressed her sadness that he couldn't attend the trip. It would have been nice to spend her 21st birthday with both of her best friends. Duty calls, she understood that way too well. Her, Sparkle, and Akeem are preparing to take their roles to the next level. They will be the new leaders of the kingdom.

Akeem expressed his excitement for her and gave her a hug. He assured her they will have many adventures together, ruling the kingdom. Bryson noticed Akeem's annoyance and was honestly fed up with his attitude. Akeem started by saying, "You better keep her safe." Bryson was appalled by Akeem's tone. Bryson figured it was time to check him.

"Don't you forget your place, watch how you address me." He whispered in Akeem's ear not to startle the ladies that were a few feet away from them. "Regardless if you like me or not, I am of royal blood. There is a tone and respect when you address me." Bryson said.

Akeem couldn't respond. He was too angry. He knew that Bryson was right. If Bryson reported this to the King, Queen, or Elders; he could lose his position. Akeem decided to stay quiet and fester in his anger.

While on the jet, everyone relaxes while Bridgette gets the party started with some drinks.
